North Fork Payette River

To support FEMAs Risk MAP program, STARR acquired and processed LiDAR for 138 square miles surrounding Payette Lake and Lake Cascade in Valley County, Idaho.
The LiDAR data was captured using a twin engine fixed wing aircraft equipped with a LiDAR system. The LiDAR system includes a differential GPS unit and inertial measurement system. The Payette Phase II area encompasses 138 square miles, and required 52 flight lines. Data was collected at the highest FEMA specification which required a Nominal Pulse Spacing of 1.0 meter. A total of three missions were flown on May 7, 8 and 31, 2012. One airborne global positioning system (GPS) base station, P023 located near Payette Lake, ID, was used to support the LiDAR data acquisition. Documentation on this monument can be found in the Post-Flight Aerial Acquisition Report. Equipment used for the LiDAR acquisition: Optech ALTM Gemini LiDAR 2
