The survey area consists of a rectangular polygon located 24 kilometers west of Stanley, Idaho. The polygon is approximately 49 square kilometers and was surveyed on August 30, 2011. Data were collected to investigate the user of lidar for avalanche forecasting in the Boise National Forest, Idaho.
