Priority Watershed Survey

Dear Lidar Enthusiasts,

We, at the Idaho Lidar Consortium, are distributing this survey to gain information on lidar use and needs by individuals and agencies/organizations in Idaho.  Please assist our planning efforts by filling this survey out to let us know what your lidar acquisition needs are and future plans. Your participation in the survey will allow us to incorporate your needs into a State of Idaho Lidar Plan. A draft of this plan will be made available for public comment this summer. Scroll down for map and survey links.

When you are filling out the question regarding priority watersheds for lidar acquisition, please reference the URL (web link) that is provided within the survey.  This will link you to a map that has been made with HUC 8 watersheds. HUC 8 watersheds are used as a base layer and there are specifications if you need to enter a part of a watershed, or multiple watersheds that would need to be acquired together.

Ultimately, through collaboration, communication, and the completion of this survey, we will create a plan to acquire high resolution lidar data for the entire State of Idaho. The intent is to share lidar data for a number of uses, including disaster management, transportation infrastructure, economic development, natural resources, public health, education, and other strategic areas.

If you have any questions about the survey, or lidar in general, don’t hesitate to contact me – jessicasherburne@boisestate.edu.
